What is ABA?

ABA therapy (Applied Behavioral Analysis) is a science that is based on the principles of learning. ABA aims to reduce problem behaviors and increase socially significant ones. By problem behavior we mean everything that hinders the child's learning and the normal functioning of the family such as aggression, speech difficulties, imitation difficulties, difficulties in following verbal instructions and more. All behaviors that would help the child to integrate into society are socially significant - speech, play, social communication with other children, coping with everyday skills such as eating, dressing and others. ABA uses various techniques to help the child learn and develop. The sessions are held taking into account the motivation and interests of the child, parents are involved to transfer what they have learned at home.
